UAD Roland/Boss fx

In the past year UA has teamed up with Roland to recreate some classic fx processors, the CE-1, Dimension D, and RE-201 Space Echo. Has anybody else tried these? I think the 2 chorus units sound excellent, but I have never used these actual hardware units. The Dimension D does have a very unique sound that I have not been able to reproduce so far with other tools. It can be very subtle and sound like a lush stereo widening effect that sounds nice on vocals and guitars.

I have experience with the RE-x01 echo units, and their emulation is really fantastic. Maybe the tape saturation could be a bit smoother, but I have never had so much fun playing with a plugin delay before. They did a great job on the spring reverb, which nobody seems to be able to get right in digital form. Unfortunately my demo period has expired

Overall these are easily among the best vintage sounding effects I have heard (in digital form).

maybe it is time to try this one out also. Maybe we could add more mp3's so people can try out for themselves. I'll add some in a few days, as I am very busy in the studio with all kinds of projects.

Hi Harrie ... I ended up purchasing this Roland FX bundle so I will do some samples through the CE-1, Dimension D, and RE-201 along with those ArtsAcoustic Reverb samples (hopefully this weekend).
